Why you need an image converter

iPhone cameras default to HEIC — roughly half the size of JPEG at the same quality — but most Windows apps, web services, and email clients won't open the format. Google Images serves WebP by default, which many image editors won't accept. SVG files are perfect for logos and icons, but most social media platforms require a rasterized PNG. AVIF is gaining ground as the web's next image format, but support is still uneven across devices and apps.

PNG is the safe choice for anything requiring transparency or pixel-perfect quality. JPEG remains the most universally accepted format for photos. ICO is required for browser favicons. The converters above cover every common crossing between major image formats — 29 conversion paths in total, from the highest-volume pairs like HEIC → JPG, WebP → PNG, and SVG → PNG to niche ones like TIFF → JPG and AVIF → PNG.

Common questions

Does converting an image reduce quality?
It depends on the direction. Converting to a lossless format like PNG preserves every pixel. Converting to JPEG or WebP applies compression — we default to 85% quality, which looks identical for almost all images.
Can I convert multiple images at once?
Yes — drop multiple files and they all convert in parallel. Free accounts handle up to 5 at a time; Pro is unlimited. Download everything as a single ZIP.
What's the best format to convert to?
PNG for lossless editing and transparency. JPEG for photos you need to share by email. WebP for web use (smaller files, same quality). AVIF if your platform supports it — even smaller than WebP.
