By accessing or using FormatDrop ("the Service") at formatdrop.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Description of service
FormatDrop is a browser-based file conversion tool. All conversions are performed locally inside your browser using WebAssembly technology. No files are transmitted to or stored on our servers. The Service is provided "as is" for personal and commercial use.
Free and Pro tiers
The Service is available on a free tier with limitations (5 files per session, 10 MB per file, watermarks on images) and a Pro tier with expanded limits accessible through a paid subscription. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe and may be cancelled at any time.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to convert files you do not own or have rights to
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us
Intellectual property
The FormatDrop name, logo, and interface design are proprietary. The underlying open-source conversion libraries (ffmpeg.wasm, jsquash, pdf-lib, etc.) retain their respective open-source licenses. Your converted files remain entirely your own.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that conversions will be error-free, lossless, or suitable for any particular purpose. Use the Service at your own risk. Always keep backups of original files.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FormatDrop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data or file corruption.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be noted here with an updated “last updated” date.
